Why Should You Exercise?Many studies have shown that regular exercise increases life expectancy and improves overall health. Regular physical activity reduces the risk of cancer, heart disease, and osteoporosis. It can reduce or improve symptoms of menopause, PMS, diabetes, as well as numerous other conditions.
Regular exercise can help prevent lower back pain. Special exercises for those with back pain are beneficial in reducing and/or eliminating lower back pain.
Safe and injury-free workouts require certain precautions be taken before beginning a new exercise program including seeing your physician first, and check for any underlying heart problems.
Start Off Slow
Walking or jogging is one of the least expensive ways to start exercising. Make sure you wear shoes that are comfortable for this activity.
Make sure you start any activity off slowly. Many people start to fast and end up getting discouraged when they have excessive soreness the next day.
Stretch Before Exercise
Gently stretch all major muscles prior to a workout to prevent muscle strains and pulls.

Proper nutrition is important for all of us, especially those are physically active. Studies have shown that exercise with a poor diet results in fatigue, which results in injury.

People with joint and bone issues can safely participate in a balanced program of moderate physical activity. Swimming is probably the best overall activity for those who are afflicted by diseases of the bones and joints. No stress is put on the joints and the water offers exceptional, non-stressful resistance.
How to Find Time To Exercise
You can break up your daily one hour workout throughout the day. It is also helpful if you find a partner to work out with so that you can help motivate each other.
Remember, any amount of exercise is better than none at all and once you establish an exercise routine, you will probably find yourself exercising beyond the minimum one hour, three to five times a week required for good health.
